Fena: Pirate Princess Episode 3

Every 18th-century submarine has the story of making Fena: Pirate Princess a little more correct. I love it because it means the show takes the "Alternate 18th Century" premise more seriously than some aspects suggest. Take, for example, the leader of a group of female pirates. His name is "O'Malley". This is a clear representation of the legendary Irish leader Grace O'Malley, or Grainne Marille if you prefer the Irish name. Whether Grace was a pirate or a privateer is debatable, but English was not good for the Irish, so it's hard to argue that Shaw positions her as a strong captain. In real life, Grace did manage to meet Elizabeth I, but it's a little harder to suggest that they were really friendly.

She's a bit inferior to working with British Officer Abel. .. Of course, I don't know what O'Malley gets (other than sex) from the deal with Abel. Therefore, it may be premature to make this statement. By the way, if it turns out that Abel isn't Fena's brother or cousin, or any other relationship, eat a hat. Even though he ignores the anime's hair color law (which states that two characters with the same unusual hair color must be linked) and its corresponding rocket, he wants it back. I have a lot of experience. A brothel where Fena was essentially captured.

This begs the question of whether he knew Abel had been there the entire time. It doesn't seem like the Goblin Knights knew - although their leaders do - and the brothel would have done what it took to get the top price for Fena's virginity. At the same time, it's unlikely that everyone in the ad knows where she was. Otherwise, in the 18th century, the mere fact of being involved in sex work would damage a woman's reputation, leaving her there for meaningful "storage" in the monastery, not in the brothel. I sincerely hope that will happen. irreparable. (By the way, that's why they didn't even try to save the other women.

The Fena they knew was still a virgin, but the other women would have been considered unclean beyond reimbursement.)The point of this episode seems to indicate that she is certainly not really safe, mainly because Fena has escaped and is with people who want to protect her. The twins are at least tangentially aware (like the Madagascar pirate shelter and Port Royale before the quake), as they quickly notice that her weird hair makes her stand out in the "free city". ).

They are also aware of the kinship spirit, which is so intelligent that Fena does not allow her to leave to find new clothes, and maybe the rules are more on offer. But I'm curious that Abel and the goblin leaders communicate. You may not know the facts, but it suggests that the white feathers are scattered before you get the message through the pigeon. Does Abel play both? O'Malley's crew doesn't seem to be doing everything Fena has invested in to stay safe while chasing down her friends, but Abel may not be aware of it. It seems possible that O'Malley is using it for his own purposes.

But there are also the children with hairy hair. All the kids who throw brothel guards overboard are chained together. It's almost certainly okay to have a relationship with a loathsome man, but why did Abel and O'Malley work with him in the first place? The fact that the kid calls Fena "Alvarezina" (the "white queen" should technically be "Regina Alba", assuming dyslexia no longer reads the subtitles to me. But) is a line that sounds more like a disposable.

There is clearly more going on here than the girl and her team has tried to uncover the truth about the transparent stone squares. And Yukimaru never hits Fena once in this episode, and even has a cute blushing moment, so he's more excited to see how all the threads of the plot are woven together. It might not be perfect (not all women talk constantly, writers), but it definitely goes in the right direction.
